General:
Systems for the production of solar electricity fit the YCS6-C series. The protector immediately conducts in nanoseconds to introduce the surge overvoltage to the earth, therefore safeguarding the electrical equipment on the grid, whether surge overvoltage results from a lightning strike or another cause.
Features:
T2/T1 + T2 surge protection provides two types of protection: voltage protection level Up < 1.5kV and Class I (10/350 µS waveform) and Class II (8/20 µS waveform).
Maximum discharge current Imax = 40kA; modular, large-capacity SPD; pluggable module.
• Up to 25ns, it has no power frequency, depending on zinc oxide technology, based on quick response speed and absence of power frequency.
• The module has to be replaced; the green window shows normal, and the red indicates a flaw.
• More dependable protection is given by dual thermal disconnection devices.
• Optional are remote signal contacts.
Its surge prevention range spans terminal devices to power systems.
• It is relevant for surge and direct lightning protection of DC systems, including PV distribution cabinet and combiner box.

Release Device for Failure, Release Device for Alarm
Release Device for Failure:
Along with surge protection, the gadget has failure protection built in. If the protector breaks because it gets too hot, the failure protection device can cut it off from the power grid and send a warning to let you know.
When the shield works properly, the window shows green. When the protector doesn't work properly, it shows red.
Device for Sending Alarm Signals:
The protector can be changed into different types of distant signaling contacts. There is a set of normally open and normally closed contacts on the distant signaling contacts. Since the protector usually works, the normally closed contacts are linked.
If one or more of the protector's modules fail, the contact will go from normally open to normally closed. The normally open contact will still work and send a problem message.
